Utah 30x30 survey
Scientists tell us that we need to protect 30% of the earth’s lands and oceans by 2030 to stem the loss of nature, prevent mass extinction of species and mitigate the impacts of climate change. In other words, it is necessary for the survival and well-being of life on earth, including our communities in Utah. In a nutshell, the "30x30" campaign is about taking care of the lands and waters that keep our planet healthy. Protection can take many different forms, but is aimed at maintaining land and water systems in a naturally functioning condition.Focused on publicly owned land, no private land will be involved unless the owner wants to participate.
